The Vietnamese Party leader expressed his delight at the growing relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia in various fields, bringing practical benefits to the two peoples.

Vietnam and Cambodia are not only the two friendly neighbours but also the two close comrades and bothers that have stood shoulder to shoulder in the past struggle for national liberation and unification and in the present cause of national construction and development, he said.

The Party chief underscored the importance of strengthening the close relationship between the two countries as well as between the three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, noting solidarity and cooperation will help the three countries overcome difficulties and challenges and clinch victories together.

He suggested both Vietnam and Cambodia increase visit exchanges at all levels and educate young generations about the traditional friendship of the two countries that should be preserved in future.

For his part, Senate President Say Chhum briefed his host on the results of his talks and meeting with Vietnamese leaders, and affirmed that Cambodia will work closely with Vietnam to protect, preserve, cultivate and pass on the good relationship between the two countries to future generations.
