Party organisation sector to press on with personnel preparations for all-level congresses

Effectively implementing the Party General Secretary and President’s directions on the personnel preparations for the 13th National Party Congress and continuing to join hands in the COVID-19 fight are among the main tasks for this month of the Party organisation and building sector.

Effectively implementing the Party General Secretary and President’s directions on the personnel preparations for the 13th National Party Congress and continuing to join hands in the COVID-19 fight are among the main tasks for this month of the Party organisation and building sector.

At the sector’s national teleconference on May 5, Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, requested Party committees and organisations at all levels to thoroughly grasp and seriously comply with Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s directions on issues that need special attention in the personnel preparations for the 13th National Party Congress.

Chinh noted that each cadre involved in the personnel preparations must be fully aware of their responsibility, give wholehearted attention to the work, and put the Party, nation and people’s interests above all.

In April, he added, the Party organisation and building sector took drastic measures in response to complex developments of the COVID pandemic while boosting IT application and proactively reforming working methods so as to fulfill all tasks on schedule.

At the meeting, participants agreed that for May, the entire sector will press on with COVID-19 prevention and control measures in line with directions issued by the Politburo, the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister. It will also work to have a better grasp and effectively carry out the top Party and State leader’s guidelines on the personnel work in the lead up to the 13th National Party Congress.

Besides, the sector will ensure the successful organisation of Party congresses at the grassroots level to prepare for higher-level events and the 13th National Party Congress, push ahead with implementing the Politburo’s Regulation 205-QD/TW on the control of power and the prevention of lobbying for position and power in the personnel work, and continue to effectively realise the 12th-tenure Party Central Committee’s resolutions on the Party organisation and building work in association with the preparations for all-level Party congresses.

Participating officials held that the sector will keep a firm grasp of the internal political situation and resolutely fight against interest groups and the abuse of mass media and social networks to spread fake news, distort the truth, undermine the internal solidarity or negatively affect personnel preparations, especially at the grassroots level.
