People’s Public Security Forces continue to study and implement President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament

The Public Security Central Party Committee in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Party Committee organized a ceremony to celebrate 55 years of realizing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament (1969-2024) and present the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces to the HCMC Police Department, on the morning of August 17th, 2024.

Party General Secretary and President To Lam attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and Member of the Politburo and Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen co-chaired the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam and delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the outstanding leader of the Party and people of Vietnam.

Addressing the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam underlined that the ceremony was a special occasion for all delegates to commemorate and pay deep gratitude to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of our Party and our people, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, the national liberation’s hero and the world cultural celebrity, while affirming the strong will and determination of the entire Party, people and armed forces to always study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and steadfastly implement his Testament.

The General Secretary and President highlighted that the Public Security Forces, including the HCMC police, have always taken the lead in implementing the Party’s resolutions, directives and conclusions on Party building, resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and other negative phenomena. as well as building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the Party and State’s leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam praised the HCMC Party Committee and the Public Security Central Party Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament, congratulated on the 79th founding anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces and the 19th anniversary of the “All people protecting national security” festival.

Nevertheless, he commended the HCMC police for their feats and achievements over the past time.

The head of the Party and State requested that the HCMC Party Committee and the Public Security Central Party Committee continue promoting their leading role in Party building, resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and other negative phenomena,.

The two local Party committees should actively address institutional obstacles, promote administrative reforms, enhance transparency through digital transformation, expand developing space and create favorable conditions for people’s activities within the legal framework, contributing to developing the country and improving the quality of people’s lives.

On behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee, Minister Luong Tam Quang sincerely thanked General Secretary and President To Lam for his appreciation of the achievements attained by the Public Security Forces as well as cadres, Party members and people of HCMC over the past time.

In the buildup to the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, 50th anniversary of the national reunification, 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day, on behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee, Minister Luong Tam Quang launched a special emulation movement among the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, with the goal of "Building a strong, comprehensive Force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level
