President Tran Dai Quang meets with outstanding Public Security officers

PSNews - President Tran Dai Quang praised the remarkable achievements that the People's Public Security Youth Union has attained in recent times, at a meeting at the Presidential Palace on March 24 with the outstanding officers and Youth Union members from the Public Security Forces.

The meeting also saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Bui Minh Giam, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the People's Public Security Forces.

Speaking at the event, Major General Bui Minh Giam emphasized that, in the last 70 years, generations of young public security officers have kept in mind Uncle Ho's six teachings.

The public security youth organization has continuously grown and matured, and now become a core force in the cause of protecting social security and order in the country.

In the past year, alongside with the implementation of the "Youths of the Public Security Forces following 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to be vanguard, voluntary, innovative and contributed to the cause of national security" launched by the Ministry of Public Security, youths of the Public Security Forces have achieved large achievements in various fields, contributing to the entire Public Security Forces’ accomplishment of their tasks in ensuring security and order as well as Party building and force building.

On behalf of the Party and State, President Quang praised the outstanding achievements obtained by the People's Public Security Youth Union in recent years, and congratulated the 20 outstanding members who were honored by the Ministry of Public Security with the 2017 "Public Security Youth Member of the Year" awards.

These 20 young examples have been excellent at professional knowledge and skills, as well as had good outcomes in training and at work while taking the lead in the Youth Union's activities. They were also recognized and presented with many noble rewards by the State, Government, Ministry of Public Security, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

President Tran Dai Quang emphasized that public security youths spared no effort to overcome hardships and were ready to sacrifice themselves in the struggle for national security and for the people’s peace and happiness.

Among bright examples of brave public security youths, the President mentioned Captain Luong Phat Chiem, Senior Lieutenant Bui Cong Nguyen of the Son La Provincial Police, who scarified their lives in fighting drug-related criminals, and Captain Pham Phi Long of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Fire Police, who bravely sacrificed himself in fighting fire in Binh Hung Hoa B ward and saving many people...

The State President emphasized that the core task of the People's Public Security Forces in general and the Public Security Youth Union in particular, is to maintain national security, social order and security in every situation while the country is promoting international integration.

President Tran Dai Quang requested that agencies and units of the Public Security Forces at all levels should further strengthen the political and ideological education for young officers and soldiers, as well as should foster their dreams, aspirations and loyalty to the Party and people.

He also instructed that every youth union member in the Public Security Forces would strengthen their efforts in to study, train and drill, and serve the Fatherland and the people.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh thanked the the Party and State as well as President Tran Dai Quang for their good care for the Public Security Forces in general and the Public Security Youth Union in particular.

He vowed to thoroughly grasp the guidance of the State President to better educate and nurture young public security officers so as to build more regular, elite and modern public security forces.
