President Tran Dai Quang works with Hai Phong Police

PSNews - President Tran Dai Quang led a working delegation to work with the Hai Phong Municipal Police on January 18th morning. 

At the working session, Major General Do Huu Ca, Director of the Hai Phong Municipal Police briefed the president and delegation on the achievements of the city’s police in maintaining social order and safety in 2016 and presented the plans to ensure security and order for the upcoming lunar New Year 2017.

Accordingly, the Hai Phong Municipal Police successfully fulfilled all assignments, under the guidance of the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee and the Hai Phong Municipal People's Committee

Addressing the meeting, President Tran Dai Quang expressed his pleasure over the positive outcomes of the Hai Phong Municipal Police over the past year. He also urged the force to thoroughly grasp directives and resolutions of the Central Public Security Party Committee, especially those issued at the 72th National Public Security Conference, in 2017.

He pointed out 5 key issues for the public security forces, of which the Hai Phong Municipal Police should actively make good forecasts, and analyze domestic and international situations, to ensure political security, social order and safety. The force should regularly launch peak drives to attack and crack down on criminal gangs, organized crimes, hi-tech crimes, drug crimes, and economic crimes.

The Hai Phong Municipal Police also should serve as a think-tank, promote comprehensive power of the political system, and focus on mobilizing people for the "All People Protecting Security" movement.

President Tran Dai Quang hoped that the Hai Phong Municipal Police will be the leading unit in studying and implementing the 12th Party Central Committee's Resolution No.4 as well as intensify Party work, force building under the slogan initiated by the Public Security Ministry: "Proactive, Innovative, Disciplined, Responsible, and Effective."

On the occasion of the lunar New Year, President Tran Dai Quang wished all leaders, officers and soldiers of the Hai Phong Municipal Police a happy and successful New Year. He also presented a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh to the city’s police.
