President Vo Van Thuong visits An Giang Provincial Police Department

State President Vo Van Thuong visited and worked at the An Giang Provincial Police Department, on the morning of August 19.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces, President Vo Van Thuong sent best regards to the local police and praised the local police for their outstanding work results in the past time.

At the celebration, State President Vo Van Thuong stated that generations of the People's Public Security Forces have successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People, contributing to protecting the Party, State and the peaceful life for the people.

He underscored that the People's Public Security Forces have written heroic pages in their history, and that the Party, State and People always appreciate the contributions of generations of public security officers to the revolutionary cause, and believe that today's generation of the Public Security Forces will continue the glorious tradition of the previous generation.

State President Vo Van Thuong suggested that the Public Security Forces in general and the An Giang police in particular continue to strive to complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People. 

The An Giang Provincial Police Department needs to direct local police forces to thoroughly grasp the order and security situation, improve their professional expertise, ensure internal political security, and strengthen the work of protecting the Party's foundation and fighting acts against the Party and State.

The local police should also make special effort to fight crime, particularly corruption and smuggling in the province.   

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung expressed thanks to the Party, State and the State President for the due care for the People's Public Security Forces in general, and the police of An Giang province in particular. 

He also promised that the Public Security Forces and local police will keep in mind and follow the State President’s instructions, successfully fulfilling all tasks given by the Party, State and People in the future.
