Public Security Central Party Committee reviews implementation of Politburo’s Directive 35

A delegation of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on August 12 worked with the Standing Commission of the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) to review the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on the organization of Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress.

Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Member of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, and General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of PSCPC and Minister of Public Security, co-chaired the meeting.

On behalf of the PSCPC’s Standing Commission, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, delivered a report on the public security Party organization’s implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No.35 in the past years as well as its preparation and organization of Party congresses of public security agencies and units at all levels.

According to the report, over the past time, the PSCPC has directed the Public Security Forces to effectively implement Directive No. 35 and relevant guiding documents on the organization of Party congresses of public security agencies and units at all levels. All public security Party organizations and members have been aware of the significance of the Party congresses.

To conclude the meeting, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the public security Party organization has attained many achievements in building and defending the country over the past five years.

In preparation for the organization of the 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term as planned, the PSCPC should quickly overcome the existing shortcomings as well as select the best candidates for the Public Security Central Party Committee of the next term in line with the instructions of the Party Central Committee.

Mr. Pham Minh Chinh stated that, Party congresses of public security Party organizations at all levels should focus discussion on improving the quality of Party and force building work. The public security Party organizations should also work out plans for organizing their Party congresses in accordance with the Party's rules and relevant regulations while ensuring safety for the delegates amid the complicated COVID-19 situation.
