Public Security Central Party Committee reviews Party work

PSNews - The Public Security Central Party Committee on December 12 organized a conference to review Party work in 2018 and draw up plans for 2019 as well as orientations for the remaining time of the 2016-2020 term.

The conference also selected candidates from the Public Security Forces for the Party Central Committee of the term 2021-2026. Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, chaired the conference.

The event also saw the presence of General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong; Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Organizing Commission of the Party Central Committee.

General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong spoke highly of all achievements obtained by the Public Security Central Party Committee in the first half of the term. According to him, the Public Security Forces have grown and developed in all aspects and reached many great and comprehensive achievements, contributing to ensuring political stability and national security.

The social order and safety situation has seen positive changes while crimes have been curbed and the rate of successfully investigated criminal cases have increased year-on-year, contributing to promoting national socio-economic development and international integration.

General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong also highly valued the training and nomination of public security officials for the Party Central Committee of the term 2021-2026. He also considered it an important issue, contributing to developing and enhancing the quality of personnel and leadership of the Party.

Additionally, it also facilitates the building of revolutionary, regular, elite and modern public security forces, meeting the requirements of their missions of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety in the current context.
