Public Security Forces must be clean and powerful: State President

PSNews-State President Tran Dai Quang, Chairman of the National Council on Defense and Security and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces visited and talked with delegates participating in the 72th National Conference of the Public Security Forces on the morning of December 27 in Hanoi.

In a warm atmosphere of the talks with the delegates, the State President recognized and praised the fine outcomes of the task performance of the Public Security  Forces in 2016 as well as their efforts to protect national security and social order, particularly the success in ensuring absolute security and safety for the 12th National Party Congress, the elections of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels in the term of 2016-2021, as well as in controlling crimes, and bringing to light serious criminal and economic cases.

Amid the changeable, complex and unpredictable situation in the world, the missions forces undertake will become heavier, said the President. To fulfill the tasks, the President asked the forces to seriously implement the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and Central Public Security Party Committee, thoroughly grasp the situation, improve the quality and effectiveness of their forecasting, proactively provide strategic advice and proposals on national security and social order as well as timely approaches and solutions to possible complicated situations, for the Party and State, well facilitating national defense, security and development.

The State President noted that the Public Security Forces should enhance their relationship with the people; promote close collaboration with the People’s Army as well as sectors and localities across the country; and focus on building on  firm political stance, revolutionary vigilance and absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people.

The People's Public Security Forces function as a violent means, which is supposed to protect the Party and the State, the people, the law. Therefore, the forces should always keep themselves clean and powerful so as to fulfill the designated tasks and effectively fight criminals and hostile forces.

President Quang also suggested the forces promote the regulations on public security personnel’s cultural behavior toward people, beautifying the good image of the People’s Public Security Forces in the hearts of the people and international friends.

On this occasion, the President highly appreciated the efforts made by all units and localities to take good care of lives of public security officers and soldiers over the past time.
