Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam Prof., Dr., attended the meeting.
During the symposium chaired by Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc, delegates focused on clarifying values, theoretical and practical meanings of the book for the current fight against corruption and negativity to contribute to the building of our Party and State today as well as to the consolidation of political will, ideology, morality and lifestyle of Party members, including those serving in the People’s Public Security Forces.
Delegates also discussed and analyzed the book’s theoretical, practical, and meaningful values for the cause of safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building the pure, regular, elite, modern, revolutionary People's Public security Forces in the current period.
Delegates all agreed that the book is of profound value both in theory and in practice, which can be considered as a "handbook" on the fight against prevention and control of corruption and negativity in our country.
Reading this book, readers will better understand the policies, guidelines and determination to fight against "internal enemy", so as to make special effort to prevent and fight corruption and negativity in our Party and State.
The book points out that fighting corruption and negativity is "a necessary, inevitable, and irreversible trend" as well as a very difficult and complicated task.
Concluding the meeting, Minister To Lam requested that the People's Public Security Forces, regardless of circumstances and conditions, must always adhere to the principle of putting themselves under absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all working aspects.
Minister To Lam requested that, right after the seminar, Party committees and organizations at all levels should continue to organize thematic seminars on the book while the Department of Party and Political Work should closely cooperates with relevant units of the National Political Publishing House to compile opinions and ideas discussed at the symposium into political educational documentations for the forces.
