More than a year after the Politburo's Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private sector development came into effect, expectations now extend beyond increasing the number of enterprises. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested ministries and sectors speed up administrative reform and disbursement of public investment, towards promoting economic activities to create jobs and livelihoods for people.

 Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the third session of the Government’s Steering Committee for Administrative Reform on February 3, stressing that administrative reform must centre on people and enterprises.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will continue its efforts to achieve the National Assembly’s target of total export turnover growing from 7-8% and trade deficit being kept at below 3%, Minister Tran Tuan Anh has said.

More efforts should be made to boost administrative reform in the banking system to further facilitate access to credit for micro, small and medium enterprises.
