The delegation visited Quang Nam Provincial Tax Department, Tam Ky Municipal Public Administration Center, and Quang Nam Provincial Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion.

Reports released by the local authorities at the working sessions showed that Quang Nam has gathered the units together that are responsible for the handling of administrative procedures closely related to the lives of local people and enterprises, including ID card issuance and entry and exit procedures, helping to reduce settlement times by 30%.

Currently, the Quang Nam Department of Taxation is taking the lead among the units in the province regarding the index of IT readiness, ranking No. 11 out of all 63 tax bureaus nationwide.

Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh highly praised the results achieved by the local agencies in their administrative reform efforts to simplify administrative procedures and create favourable conditions for local people and businesses.

He instructed leaders and civil servants at such agencies of Quang Nam to continuously promote past achievement and pay more attention to administrative reform, while improving the services offered and a friendly working attitude to facilitate locals and enterprises in carrying out administrative procedures in the locality.

According to the senior government official, the satisfaction of the people is the top priority and the most important result in administrative procedures. For that reason, he also urged the local officials in charge of administrative reform to continue improving their capacities, qualities and behaviour in working with local people, making public officials truly "public servants of the people" as said by Uncle Ho.

On the occasion, the Deputy PM also met with and listened to responses from Quang Nam residents on the convenience at the local administrative centers, as well as the constraints and obstacles that need to be further removed.

Earlier, on July 27, Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh and the mission offered wreaths and incense at the Quang Nam martyrs cemetery on the Day for Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers as well as visited and presented gifts to revolutionary families in Tam Ky.
