Vietnam attaches great importance to its relationship with the RoK and wishes to further foster the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially in politics, economy, trade, investment, science and technology, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, said Party General Secretary and State President To Lam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese announced the elevation of bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Australia at a press conference after their talks on March 7 morning.

The Australia – Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue (AVYLD) 2019 was officially launched at the Admiralty House in Sydney, Australia on October 5 to bring together young leaders from both countries and engage them in promoting the bilateral relationship.

On October 18, Vietnam and the US jointly commemorated the start of the second and final phase of thermal treatment at the Danang airport.
