PSNews - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has closely coordinated with the Ministry of Health to hold working sessions with COVAX, partner countries and vaccine producers in order to speed up the supply of COVID-19 vaccines for children, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thu Hang said on April 21.

More than 1.3 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine donated by the US Government and channeled through the COVAX Facility arrived in Hanoi on November 6.

The Italian Government on September 21 announced its decision to offer a further 796,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses to Vietnam via the Covax global facility to help the nation respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A batch of 852,480 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine donated by the German government and channeled through the COVAX Facility arrived in Hanoi on September 16.

Vietnam received an additional 494,400 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX Facility on August 10, bringing the total number of its sponsored vaccines to over 9.1 million doses.

PSNews - Recently, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang announced that, a haul of three million doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine donated by the United States through the Covax Facility will arrive in the country on July 25.

PSNews - COVAX will deliver to Vietnam 2 million doses of the Moderna vaccine provided by the US Government through the mechanism, which are expected to arrive in Vietnam this week, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said. 

Close to 1.7 million doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine are due to arrive in the country on May 16, with the latest shipment being supplied by the COVAX Facility via the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

A haul of 811,200 doses of AstraZeneca's novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine sponsored by COVAX arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on April 1.

The first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX Facility cannot be delivered to Vietnam as planned in late March as producers are expanding and optimising production process, the Ministry of Health’s Department of Preventive Medicine has said.
