Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia and Chairman of the ruling United Russia Party, has affirmed his council’s readiness to support and ramp up co-operation between the two countries across multiple fields.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev discussed measures to enhance the two countries’ cooperation during talks in Moscow on May 22.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wrapped up his two-day official visit to Vietnam on November 19 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

As part of its foreign policy, Vietnam has always and will continue to consider Russia a reliable and leading partner, said General Secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee (CPVCC) and President Nguyen Phu Trong at a reception for visiting Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Hanoi on November 19.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev discussed measures to further promote partnership between the two countries in various fields during their talks in Hanoi on November 19 as part of the latter’s official visit to Vietnam.

The National Assembly of Vietnam always supports the country in developing the relations with Russia and will complete the legal framework to take the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to the next level, said Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev granted the Order of Friendship, a state decoration of the Russian Federation, to General Director of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre Nguyen Hong Du on November 19 for his contributions to the bilateral relations.
