#East Asia Summit

Thailand mobilized more than 17,000 security officers on Friday ahead of a three-day summit of Southeast Asian and other international leaders in Bangkok, guarding against attacks after a dozen explosions marred another regional meeting in August.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh joined foreign ministers of ASEAN member states and the bloc’s eight dialogue partners at the 9th East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Bangkok on August 2.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh attended the 19th ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the eighth East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the 25th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Singapore on August 4.
