Ordinary passports with electronic chips to be issued from next month
Ordinary passports with electronic chips will be issued for Vietnamese citizens from March 1, 2023, according to the Ministry of Public Security’s Immigration Department.
Place of birth to be added on unclean section of Vietnamese ordinary passport
The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) had directed the Immigration Department under the ministry to add the information on the place of birth of Vietnamese citizens to the Vietnamese ordinary passport of new type, starting from September 15, 2022.
