#poor students

The Public Security (CAND) Newspaper on January 11 coordinated with the provincial Police Department of Soc Trang to present 30 tablets to children of local police officers.

The Directorate of the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department has directed all sub-units to coordinate with local authorities to support people facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially ethnic minority students.

The Central province of Quang Binh has sought various ways to encourage students to learn online during the pandemic time.

Pham Van Vu, a PE teacher at Quy Loc Secondary School, Yen Dinh district (Thanh Hoa), decided to build a swimming pool in his house’s yard in Phuc Tan village, Cam Tan commune, Cam Thuy district, to teach poor pupils and locals how to swim for free.

The Republic of Korea General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and the Korean Business Association in the southern province of Binh Duong presented 219 scholarships worth over 700 million VND (30,400 USD) to poor students with outstanding academic performance on October 7.

More than 500 students, who are poor, orphans and living with disabilities in the southern province of Ben Tre, on August 25 received scholarships.

The Vu A Dinh scholarship fund, Nam A Bank, VinaCapital Foundation (VCF), and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union provincial chapter of Long An presented scholarships to 120 poor students with outstanding performance during a local ceremony on August 21. 

The Border Guard of the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau has presented 166 scholarships worth a total of 500 million VND (21,500 USD) to poor students in the province’s border localities.

PSNews – The Public Security Newspaper in collaboration with Mai Lam Construction Company on September 27 presented bicycles and notebooks to poor students with excellent academic records in Co Do district, Can Tho province.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh held a working session with authorities of the central province of Quang Nam on July 18 about the enforcement of a policy for those who rendered their services for the nation, ahead of the 71st anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27). 

PSNews- With the aim of raising funds to support poor students, the Vietnam Student Newspaper and V-Stars football club will host friendly football matches with the participation of instructors and students of universities with good football movements.

PSNews – Hundreds of poor students of Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry on January 1 were provided with free buses to go home for Tet.
