Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh paid a visit to the National Sports Training Centre in Hanoi on April 18 ahead of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) to inspect the site and offer words of encouragement to Vietnamese athletes training there.

Party General Secretary, President Nguyen Phu Trong on May 15 presided over a meeting in Hanoi of the Political Bureau to give ideas on the preparations for the coming 10th plenum of the Party Central Committee, the seventh session of the National Assembly (NA), and on a number of other important issues.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 27, checked the logistic, technical and security preparations for the upcoming the 6th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit (GMS6) and the 10th Summit of the Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam Development Triangle Area (CLV10), which will take place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi from March 29 to 31.
