Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam inspects security work for the GMS6 Summit

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on March 27, checked the logistic, technical and security preparations for the upcoming the 6th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit (GMS6) and the 10th Summit of the Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam Development Triangle Area (CLV10), which will take place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi from March 29 to 31.

Leader of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) reported to the Deputy Minister the plans to ensure security, safety and medical supports during the summits. 

Accordingly, all technical and logistic plans to ensure security and order have comprehensively been deployed to serve the upcoming GMS-6 and CLV-10. The security check points have been set up at the venues of the summits as well as accommodation facilities for the delegates.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam praised the efforts of the involved units.

He also asked the functional forces to continue reviewing all plans, including spare ones, on security and order, as well as fire and explosion prevention and fight; raise the sense of responsibility and combat readiness, so as to deny any security issues, tactical surprises or unexpected situations. He instructed relevant units to perform their tasks as excellently as during the APEC Summit Week last November.
