Vietnam’s economic growth could slow as its population ages, squeezing public finance and stressing the service delivery system, unless timely reforms are set in motion, a new World Bank report finds.

The achievements Vietnam recorded in 2018 have given the country valuable lessons, creating a firm foundation for the country to develop, reform, and integrate further into the world, Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong has said. 

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on May 21 signed the issuance of a Resolution of the 7th meeting of the 12th Party Central Committee on the reform of salary policy for civil servants, public employees, the armed forces and workers of enterprises (Resolution 27-NQ/TW).

As many as 17 out of 19 ministries and ministry-level agencies have provided online public services at levels three and four, while 58 out of 63 cities and provinces have supplied 13,830 public services on the Internet.
