Science-technology and innovation development represents a strategic breakthrough for national development, with a contingent of scientists being at the core of this process, especially amid future changes relating to Industry 4.0.

Science-technology must become the most important driver in developing modern production forces and a knowledge-based economy to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, competitiveness, and economic growth in Vietnam, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has said.

President Tran Dai Quang urged Vietnam and Uzbekistan to fully tap their cooperation potential in various fields while receiving Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and  Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Mirzaev Zoyir in Hanoi on February 9.

The development of a knowledge-based economy is expected to help Ho Chi Minh City realise its ambition of becoming a major centre of economics, finance-trade and science-technology in Southeast Asia.
