#vietnam chairmanship

The 37th ASEAN Summit and related meetings, slated for November 12-15, are the most important activity of ASEAN this year, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and General Secretary of the National ASEAN 2020 Committee, Nguyen Quoc Dung, at the international press conference held on November 9. 

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo affirmed on June 28 that the US welcomes the vision statement of ASEAN leaders, which was adopted at the recent 36th ASEAN Summit.

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and the Daniel K.Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) on May 8 co-hosted a workshop in Hanoi themed “Vietnam’s ASEAN 2020 Chairmanship: Recommending the priorities”.
