Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam confirmed the eighth case of infection by the new coronavirus from China’s Wuhan city, known as 2019-nCoV, on February 3, according to the Ministry of Health.
The ability of the new coronavirus to spread is strengthening and infections could continue to rise, China’s National Health Commission said on Sunday, with nearly 2,000 people in China infected and 56 killed by the disease.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam chaired an urgent meeting in Hanoi on January 24 in response to the acute respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus (nCoV) strain.
