PSNews – On the occasion of the Vietnamese traditional New Year (Tet) 2017 – Year of Rooster, Editor-in-Chief of the Public Security Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien, on behalf of all staff of the newspaper, extends Tet greetings to all collaborators, friends and readers of the newspaper. PSNews - On the occasion of the Vietnamese traditional lunar New Year (Tet) 2017 – Year of Rooster, Member of Politburo, Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, sent a Letter of Tet Greetings to all officers, soldiers, students and contractors at the Ministry of Public Security as well as retired officers, invalids and relatives of martyrs of the Public Security Forces. 

Painter Thanh Chuong has completed 60 paintings of roosters to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Rooster.

Displaying decorative trees shaped like different animals has long been a hallmark amongst Vietnamese Lunar New Year decoration, with Mekong Delta farmers striving year-after-year to introduce new animal-like creations to the market.

The popular practice of exchanging new or special banknotes for a fee kicked off several weeks ago in many big cities, with one month to go before the start of Tet (Lunar New Year).
