Dear Comrades!
On the occasion of the Vietnamese traditional New Year 2017, the Year of Rooster, on behalf of the Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security, I sincerely extend the warmest regards and best wishes to all leaders, officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, students, police contractors as well as retired police officers, invalids, relatives of martyrs of the Public Security Forces.
Apart from fundamental advantages, the world and the region saw complex changes in 2016, which posed difficulties and challenges for the Public Security Forces’ core missions of ensuring national security, social order and safety.
However, under the leadership of the Central Committee of Party, the National Assembly, the Government, with the solidarity of the political system and the support from the people, and the confidence and political determination of all Public Security staff, the People’s Public Security Forces have made a special effort to overcome obstacles, took various timely and comprehensive solutions to prevention and combat against crimes, and preservation of political security, social order and safety.
Particularly, the forces contributed to ensuring absolute safety for the 12th National Party Congress, election of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all level in the term 2016-2021, while maintaining political stability, creating a secure, safe environment for the people and national socio-economic development and foreign affairs.
This year, as the entire Party, armed forces and people continue implementing the 12th National Party Congress’s Resolution and socio-economic development plan for the period 2016-2020, the People’s Public Security Forces have adopted very heavy the missions, requiring all officers, soldiers and workers of the sector to bring into full play their glorious and heroic traditions; continuously promote innovation, uphold disciplines and responsibilities; strengthen close ties with other forces, the whole political system and people; set an example in implementing Resolution No.4 of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party building; prevent degradation in political thought, morality and lifestyle as well as any manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation’’, enhance the movement of learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, moral, lifestyle; strive for new achievements; successfully fulfill the forces’ main tasks of ensuring national security, social order and safety, so as to contribute more to the national building and defense cause, deserving the trust of the Party, State and people.
