U.S President Donald Trump pays a State visit to Vietnam

PSNews - President Tran Dai Quang on November 12 hosted a solemn ceremony to receive U.S President Donald Trump, who is on a State visit to Vietnam on November 11-12. 

President Donald Trump's State visit to Vietnam took place at a time when the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the United State sees positive developments, especially after the successful official visit of Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the U.S last May. 

That President Trump’s visit to Vietnam has been made in the first year of his presidential term has also reflected the importance of the Vietnam - U.S relationship in the Trump Administration’s foreign policy, creating a good basis for the bilateral relations in the coming time.

Vietnam and the U.S have established the Comprehensive Partnership since July 2013. Over the past years, the two sides have regularly exchanged delegations at all levels and actively implemented the signed agreements.

Vietnam always attaches great importance to developing its relations with the U.S and is ready to cooperate with the President Donald Trump’s Administration to expand the bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect for each other’s political institution, independence, and sovereignty.

Vietnam pursues a policy in promoting cooperation with the U.S for mutual benefits, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and prosperity in the region and the world.

After the official welcome ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang and President Donald Trump led the two delegations to have talks and signed a number of important deals. Later on the day, President Donald Trump paid a courtesy call on Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and had a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
