Vice State President visits Thai Nguyen police and Phu Son 4 Prison

PSNews - Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh led a high-ranking delegation to pay a working visit to the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department on August 19, on the occasion of the 74th Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2019).

The delegation was welcomed by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Mr. Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation of Thai Nguyen.

According to reports at the meeting, in the first half of 2019, the political security situation in the province was well maintained while the number of criminal offences reduced by 4.2% and the rate of successfully investigated cases increased compared with the same period last year.

On this occasion, Vice President Thinh extended best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department. She also appreciated the contributions of the provincial police force to the achievements of the whole Public Security Forces in particular and the country in general.

Vice President Thinh asked the provincial police to successfully fulfil all given tasks, actively prevent and suppress crimes and ensure security, social order and safety so as to facilitate socio-economic development of the province.

On the same day, Vice President Thinh and the delegation visited and inquired after 2 policy beneficiary families in Thai Nguyen City, offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the traditional house of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, visited and worked with the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, and Thai Nguyen University.

Vice President Thinh and the delegation also visited and worked with the staff of Phu Son 4 Prison, based in Co Lung commune, Phu Luong district.

At the working session, the Vice President appreciated the efforts and achievements of the prison’s police officers and workers, and asked them to try their best to fulfill all given tasks.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son thanked for the special care of the Party and State, and particularly the Vice President, for the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Son also assigned major tasks to the prison’s staff in the time to come, focusing on seriously implementing detention regulations and policies for inmates, tightening relations with local Party organizations and authorities while enhancing Party and force building.

Vice President Thinh and her delegation later paid tribute to Uncle Ho at the traditional house of the prison, inquired after and presented gifts to prisoners’ children.
