#Anti-Human Trafficking

PSNews - The Department of Foreign Affairs under the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Vietnam held a workshop to build capacity of local officers to detect and investigate new-form human trafficking cases, from July 10-11, in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province, Vietnam.

PSNews - The signing ceremony of the Regulation on coordination between the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place in the reception, protection and support victims of trafficking.

The kick off meeting of the Project for “Strengthening the Operation of Hotline for Counselling and Supporting Trafficked Survivors” (Project Phase II) was held in Hanoi on December 14. This is a Technical Cooperation Project between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

PSNews - Within the framework of the working visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of the UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on November 22 met Ms. Caroline Nokes, Deputy Home Minister and Mr. Mark Field, Deputy Foreign Minister. 

CAMBODIA - Premilinary conference for 5-year implemention of  the Agreement between Vietnam and Cambodia on Anti - Human Trafficking and SOPs for the Identification and Repatriation of Trafficked Victims was held from October 4-5 in Sihanoukville.
