Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue has welcomed the interest of foreign investors, including Japan's Erex Co Ltd, in clean energy development in Vietnam.

The low feed-in tariff for wind power is causing a collective delay in wind power projects all across the country, as investors are waiting for prices to increase so their plants can become profitable.

Sunseap International—a unit of Sunseap Group, Singapore’s leading clean energy provider—expects to kick off the construction of a $150-million solar farm in mid-2018 to put it into commercial operation by June 2019.
