PSNews - The Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi Municipal Police Department have taken measures to ensure security and traffic safety at 12 stations of the Cat Linh - Ha Dong metro line which was officially inaugurated and put into commercial operation in early November.

The Hanoi capital on July 1 carried out a test run of its trains on the overground track under the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station Metro project before it is officially put into operation later this year.

Two trains consisting of three carriages each for the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line No. 1, which will run from Ben Thanh market to Suoi Tien theme park, arrived at Khanh Hoi Port in the southern city on May 10.

Construction of a 4-km underground section of the Hanoi urban railway line No.3 (Nhon-Hanoi Station) will commence after May 1, with four underground stations from Station 9 in Kim Ma to Station 12 in Hanoi Station.

The Cat Linh-Ha Dong metro line which was planned to enter trial operation in October this year is facing a high risk of being failing to meet the schedule because of a delayed release of funds.
