From August 2019, Mytel’s customers (Viettel’s brand in Myanmar) will have opportunity to experience 5G technology. This information is announced by Mytel at “Mytel’s first 5G” event hosted at Sedona hotel, Yangon, Myanmar on 5 August, 2019. 

PSNews - Mytel (Viettel’s brand in Myanmar) has launched its e-wallet service called MytelPay, which officially started its operation from June 2019. MytelPay is introduced at a time when Mytel is celebrating one year since it started officially selling its products and providing services across Myanmar.

After nearly one year operating in Myanmar, Mytel - the trademark of Viettel in Myanmar - has become the 3rd largest network operator in terms of market share.

Mytel reached 3 million customers after its 3-month operation, its customers of 4G services amounted to more than 70%.

Mytel, the Viettel-owned mobile operator based in Myanmar, has signed up more than two million subscribers in just one month since officially starting operations.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan pledged to elevate ties between Vietnam and Myanmar and between the two armies during a reception in Hanoi on March 6 for Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services of Myanmar, Sen. Gen. Min Aung Hlaing.
