Leaders of nations extend congratulations to Vietnam on National Day

VOV.VN - Vietnamese travelers are increasingly favouring flexible, self-planned trips during the National Day holiday period this year, balancing travel time, cost and experiences while showing growing interest in beach, nature and nearby overseas destinations.

Congratulating the recipients, NA Chairman Man said the Party has led the Vietnamese revolution through numerous challenges, helping the country achieve important accomplishments in the process of national construction and development. These achievements were made possible in part by the great contributions and dedication of generations of Party officials and members, including those honoured at the ceremony.

The fare waiver covers all 128 subsidised bus routes, as well as the Cat Linh-Ha Dong Line 2A and the elevated section of the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station Line 3.1.

The delegation, led by Tran Luu Quang, Politburo Member and Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, observed a moment of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's vast contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

Eighty years have passed, but the heroic song of the Autumn of Independence still echoes, urging each generation of Vietnamese to continue. The sea of ​​people today joining in the march is a powerful proof that: the strength of the nation does not lie far away, but lies in millions of hearts sharing the same aspiration.

The Vietnamese Navy hosted a parade of armed forces at sea in Cam Ranh waters, Khanh Hoa province on the morning of September 2, at the same time as the grand celebration and parade in Hanoi to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day. 

The parade comprised military and police formations marching in unison across the historic square, accompanied by large-scale displays of weapons, equipment, aircraft, and naval vessels at sea, set to resounding military music under autumn skies filled with fluttering red flags and yellow stars.

The formations included the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), representatives of the country’s 54 ethnic groups, war veterans, former public security officers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, the revolutionary press, entrepreneurs, women, overseas Vietnamese, youth, and representatives of culture and sports.

A full rehearsal for the military parade and procession celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025) took place at National Training Centre 4 in Hanoi on July 17, impressing spectators with a grand display of modern equipment and specialized vehicles from both the Army and Police forces.
