Vietnam is emerging as an important link in the global semiconductor value chain, particularly in chip packaging and testing, as the country continues to lay key foundations for developing its semiconductor industry, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has stated.
The Vietnamese Government remains committed to accompanying and creating the most favourable conditions for foreign enterprises, including ASML, to invest and operate successfully and sustainably in the country, affirmed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Ministry of Science and Technology has issued Decision No. 4386/QD-BKHCN defining the functions, tasks, powers and organisational structure of the national centre for support of semiconductor chip pilot production, a move expected to strengthen Vietnam’s position in the global semiconductor value chain.
