In recent times, the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department has took a wide range of professional measures to proactively prevent, detect and effectively combat acts of smuggling and illegal cross-border transportation of goods, contributing to maintaining security, social order and socio-economic stability in the province.

Nguyen Duy Ngoc on November 12 attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a police post in Ban Nathon village (Khamkeut district, Bolikhamxai province, Laos), which is part of a project to build communal police posts for Lao police in Lao localities along the Vietnam-Lao borderline.

Given the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia, functional forces in the southwestern provinces have enhanced their control of exit and entry across the borderline.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to visit Cambodia on February 25 and 26, and attend a conference reviewing the results of a coordination drive between the two sides on information dissemination and combat of drug-related crimes along the Vietnam-Cambodia borderline.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) coordinated with the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and other Vietnamese functional forces to organize a conference on June 13 in Tay Ninh to launch campaign to suppress drug-related crimes along the Vietnam – Cambodia borderline.

Launching the 2019 National Volunteer Year, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on January 18 and 19 sent a delegation to border posts located along the borderline in the southwestern province of An Giang.

The border demarcation and marker planting force in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong will examine the last section for demarcation along the borderline it shares with Cambodia this year.
