Developing technology transfer between Vietnam and South Korea

On December 31, the signing ceremony of a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement was held in Ho Chi Minh city to "coordinate the promotion, investment attraction, and trade cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea". 

In 2020, Vietnam’s and the world’s economy has been being seriously affected by the trade war between major countries; climate change, natural disasters, droughts, and especially the COVID-19 pandemic…. 

To further materialize the connection between Vietnam and South Korea, towards the most effective collaboration in trade promotion, the representative of VKBIA Central Vietnam, Korea International Technology Exchange Association (KAITE), Center of Trade promotion and Support Investment in the South (under the Association of SMEs in the South of Vietnam), VKBIA Group Joint Stock Company and C&N Vina Company (Korean FDI enterprise) have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the parties on "coordinating promotion, investment attraction, and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Korea".

The MOU with many specific cooperation contents, in which the parties continue to work towards the in the field new and high technologies transferring, establishing collaborated R&D centers, cooperating in training high-skilled human resources for industrial clusters, cooperation and development for Industrial Parks in Vietnam, building factories and workshops to serve the high-tech production chains that could meet the standards for the global supply chain.

Mr. Lee Dong Jae - President of Korea Association of International Technology Exchange (KAITE) emphasized: “These technologies will contribute to the development of the national economy by promoting the cooperation and development of high-value-added businesses in the high-tech industry. With the cooperation with VKBIA and Vietnam - South Korea businesses this time, we expect to join hands to welcome the era of global technology exchange, and this association will strive to become a bridge between high technology and good technology go hand in hand with the development of high added value business models.”

Dr. Tran Hai Linh - Chairman of Vietnam - Korea Entrepreneur & Investment Association (VKBIA) emphasized: "I hope that the cooperation between the parties this time will bring practical effects to promote trade cooperation, develop relations between Vietnam and Korea, and at the same time contribute to the socio-economic development of localities in the South Central region. In the coming time, the parties will do creative and effective works, using the human and intellectual resources of the South Central region, and I also hope this will be a big boost to promote the development of the knowledge economy. here with the process of global economic integration ".
