Phoenix Group honored with Vietnamese Government’s Emulation Flag

PSNews – Phoenix International Group Co. Ltd. (Phoenix Group) was honored by the Government with an Emulation Flag and other awards by the Ministry of Public Security, branches, agencies and localities for its positive and effective contributions to the emulation movements as well as to the local communities.

Phoenix Group on January 5 in Bac Ninh held a ceremony to receive the Government’s Emulation Flag together with medals, certificates of merit and other awards from the Ministry of Public Security, branches, agencies and localities.

The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Dang Quan Thuy, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Chay Navuth, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

Other delegates at the ceremony includes Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee; Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu, former General Director of the former General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces; 

Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department of Public Security Information and Communications; Senior Colonel Pham Khai, Editor-in-Chief of the Public Security Newspaper; Senior Colonel Dang Ngoc Bach, Deputy Director of the Party and Political Affairs Department under the Ministry of Public Security, and leaders, former leaders of a number of units under the Ministry of Public Security, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee and Son La Provincial People's Committee.

Reports at the event read that, the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 posed negative impacts on businesses, especially service providers, but leaders and employees of Phoenix Group tried their best to overcome difficulties and kept growing, strengthening the company’s brand in the domestic and foreign markets.

The company also contributed positively to socio-economic development in the localities, where the company and its affiliates do business. Last year, Phoenix Group reached a growth rate of 3.8%, completing 80% of the set target.

Additionally, for many consecutive years, Phoenix Group has attached much importance to social activities as it has considered corporate responsibility as one of its important tasks.

In 2020, Phoenix Group has spent over 21.5 billion VND on social activities, focusing on supporting local efforts to reduce poverty as well as assisting people badly affected by the recent historic floods in the Central region.

The company also contributed to various social funds and offered assistance to war veterans, families of martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and other policy beneficiary people. Phoenix Group effectively supported people-to-people exchange activities hosted by the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association.

Particularly, Phoenix Group effectively supported the social activities and charity programs launched by the Ministry of Public Security, contributing to spreading the movement of “All people protecting National security.” For instance, Phoenix group joined hands with the Moc Chau district’s authorities and the local police force to mobilize local people in Pha Don village, Long Sap commune to stop producing, trading and using illicit drugs by financing and creating livelihoods for local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh congratulated Phoenix Group on its development in recent years. They also praised the company's contributions to socio-economic development and the work of ensuring security and order in localities.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh suggested, the company continue to carry out social activities, thereby contributing positively to the movement "All people protecting national security".
