PSNews - A high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, attended the 13th Deputy Ministerial-Level Meeting and the 8th Sports Exchange between Vietnam’s MPS and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of Singapore.

The 18th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC 18) officially opened on August 28th, in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), led a Vietnamese MPS delegation to attend consultation meetings in the framework of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC), namely  the 8th AMMTC Plus China, the 6th AMMTC Plus Japan, and AMMTC Plus 3.

The ASEAN Senior Officials Meetings on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) in preparation for the 15th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC 15) and relevant events was hosted by Brunei Darussalam – the Chair of ASEAN in 2021 in the form of a video conference.

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Organizing Board of the 14th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC 14), chaired the first meeting of the board on November 17 in Hanoi.

A delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Son, Director of the Foreign Relation Department on September 24 attended the virtual 20th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime (SOMTC-20) chaired by Philippines.

PSNews- The 18th ASEAN’s Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime (SOMTC 18) and Related Meetings were held in the Malaysian administrative city of Putrajaya from September 24 to 27. 

The People’s Court of the southwestern province of Tay Ninh sentenced two people to life imprisonment for trafficking over 2.9 kg of Methamphetamine from Cambodia to Vietnam at their first instance trial on August 14.

A three-day National Border Liaison Office (BLO) Consultation began in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on May 31.
