Viettel honors outstanding groups and individuals

PSNews - The Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) held an awarding ceremony, entitled “Viettel’s Stars,” to honor its eight individuals and eight groups, with significant contributions to the group’s development last year.

Addressing the event, which took place on April 16 in Hanoi, Major General Le Dang Dung, Acting Chairman and Director General of Viettel Group, said that the honorees, selected from hundreds of affiliated units and 50,000 employees of the group, have successfully applied technologies and overcome adversities to obtain great achievements in their task performance.

He affirmed, the “Viettel’s Stars” title holders have embodied the group’s will and determination to achieve success in the fourth industrial revolution.

Notably, many of the honorees work in digital services, such as Cloud Viettel, Viettel Pay, Viettel Study, Test Call Generator-TAD, and Behavior Analysis, or with projects to strengthen the country’s defense and security, and promote Viettel’s administrative systems and labor productivity.

Apart from a total bonus of VND 2.4 billion in cash, the awarded individuals were presented with an overseas training course. 

At the ceremony, Major General Dung also launch the 2019 Viettel Stars emulation campaign. Major General Dung also urged all officers and workers of Viettel to continue to participate more actively and effectively in emulation movements in order to further promote Viettel’s values and bring more benefits to its clients.

"Viettel's emulation movements are to brighten Viettel's values and to create different, unique, competitive products, contributing to bring better services and products to its customers in all markets where Viettel is operating", said Major General Dung.

Viettel, established in 1999, will observe its 30th founding anniversary in 2019. Over the past 3 decades of development, Viettel has continuously been innovating its mobile telecom services to its clients in its domestic and global markets. At this point, Viettel has been rated as one of the biggest telecom companies in the world.
