Delivering the opening remarks, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung emphasized that, in recent years, amid an increasingly complex global and regional landscape of human trafficking, criminal organizations have expanded their traditional targets of women and children to men, employed increasingly sophisticated methods and organized cross-border networks, and high-tech platforms to commit their crimes.

The Deputy Minister underscored that, thanks to the sound leadership of the Party and the State and strong coordination across the political system, Vietnam’s anti-human trafficking efforts have yielded significant results over the past time.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highlighted that, as a core force in this field, the Public Security Forces have uncovered and investigated hundreds of human trafficking cases, dismantled interprovincial and transnational trafficking rings, and rescued thousands of victims.
