Hanoi attractions reopened with restriction

PSNews – Many historical relics and attractions in Hanoi have been reopened after several weeks of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Several activities are held to attract tourists while appropriate measures safety for local people and visitors are still applied. 

The Special National Relic of the Temple of Literature was reopened on May 14. In order to prevent the spread of the virus, all visitors are required to have body temperature checked, wash their hands with hand sanitizers and wear facemasks before entering the relic.

 Information boards on COVID-19 prevention and fight in Vietnamese, English and French are also displayed at the entrance gate and some other places in the site.

The relic also limits the number of visitors to no more than 30 people at a time. Visitors show signs of cough and fever within 14 days after the tour should visit medical facilities and notify the relic.

Some other relics and attractions in Hanoi such as Ngoc Son Temple, Hoa Lo Prison were also reopened on May 14.

Some attractions decided to diversify their promotion programs while maintaining COVID-19 prevention measures in line with the instructions from the Ministry of Health. 

For example, the Hoa Lo Prison Museum offers free tour guides for any pre-booked groups. The relic also gave gifts to the first 500 visitors.

Hoa Lo Prison also resumes operation with the exhibition “Aspiration for Freedom” with three thematic areas including The Chains, Flying in the Midst of the Night and the Peace Song.

Many other attractions such as the National Museum of History, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the Presidential Palace also display new exhibitions to welcome visitors.

The Vietnam Military History Museum also launches the exhibition “Uncle Ho in our hearts” on May 15.
