Minister To Lam works with Kon Tum Provincial Police

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security on November 30 worked with the Kon Tum Provincial Police on the deployment of full-time professional police to commune police posts.

The working session saw the presence of representatives from specialized departments under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS); Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the directorate of the Kon Tum Police.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Cong Van, Director of the Provincial Police Department of Kon Tum, briefed the Minister and participants of the meeting on the posting of professional police officers to commune police posts in the province.

Minister To Lam thanked the Party committees and authorities of Kon Tum for their cooperation and support for the local police force in ensuring security and order in the past time.

Minister Lam also asked the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee of Kon Tum to further coordination and raise the effectiveness of their leadership over police activities, particularly in ensuring security and order and building of the police force.

The Minister asked the provincial police to promptly complete the plan to appoint professional police officers to positions at the police posts of 45 key communes and later of the 41 remaining communes.

On the afternoon of the same day, Minister To Lam and his delegation visited and spoke to 200 police officers of Kon Tum who are participating in a training course in preparation for the appointment.
