South Korea announces that will intecept Russian and Chinese missile

South Korea will strangulate Chinese and Russian missile if they try to launch an attack on The U.S anti-ballistic missile THAAD expects to be deployed in the country in 2017, Defense Minister Han Min-goo told Yonhap news agency on Wednesday.

"If missiles of China or Russia are fired at us, then of course we will shoot them down," Han said.

“The interception will be carried out by the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system”, he added.

Mr. Han repeated that the deployment of the THAAD system in South Korea is aimed at against to North Korea’s missiles, and it will not be a threat to other countries.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry earlier said that the deployment of the THAAD system in South Korea could  escalate tensions in the region and create difficulties for solving the problems on the Korean Peninsula.

China has also said Washington and Seoul’s option on the THAAD deployment could seriously affectt its strategic security.
