Decathlon officially opens first mega store in Vietnam

The official opening of Decathlon’s first mega store is held today at Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, creating a shopping space of up to 4300m2 with over 14000+ products of 5000+ models that meet the needs of 70 sports.

The first store of Decathlon Vietnam which will be located at B1 floor area, stall R4-18-29, Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, Hanoi offers to bring a completely different sport shopping experience with exhibitions and live experiencing space. With an area of 4300m2, this store provides a number of 14000+ products ranging from equipment and tools to sports clothing and shoes for more than 70 different sports, serving women, men and children of all ages and all the levels of sport: from beginner to expert.  

Decathlon customers can directly experience their products for sports such as: hiking, jogging, gym fitness, basketball, football, cycling, etc. right in the store with the support of trained professional staff. Decathlon also provides some very technical sports such as fishing, horse riding, stand up paddle, etc. that cannot be found easily in other stores in Vietnam. When shopping at the store on the first day of opening, customers had the opportunity to meet and play sports with Vietnamese U23 player Phan Van Duc and receive many gifts from Decathlon.

Decathlon is a French sport brand which was built and developed according to an integrated business model. Consequently, all processes from designing, preparing materials to production and distribution are exclusively done by the Decathlon team. With the aim of bringing the most valuable sport products to customers and users, the Decathlon team always pay deep attention to the tastes and needs of sport-users, therefore, the products are not only eye-catching but also possess high durability that are suitable for many levels in sports. 

All of the designs before being launched are tested by engineers, designers and product team leaders in laboratories and practical situations to ensure safety and comfort. Decathlon has become a popular name in many of the world's busiest markets. In France, Decathlon owns 313 stores while in China and Spain the number of stores is 262 and 168 respectively.

The products not only cover some popular sports but also serve a wide range of 70 sports around the world, ensuring maximum utility for sport-lovers. In Vietnam, apart from the online sales site launched in 2017, Decathlon will open two mega stores in Hanoi with a scale of 4300m2 on April 27, 2019 and in Ho Chi Minh City with a scale of over 2600m2 estimated to be end of May this year, providing products of more than 70 sports at each store.
