The event marks a major step forward for the Vietnamese car industry as technological automobile products manufactured by the nation have been officially launched to the international market and will reach global consumers.

The first batch of VinFast VF 8 cars includes 999 units, which will be exported to the United States and transported by Panama's charter ship Silver Queen.

After roughly 20 days from its departure from MPC Port in Hai Phong, the shipment will arrive at the port of California in the US and will be handed over to the first batch of customers by the end of December.

This will mark the initial batch of EVs exported to the international market among 65,000 orders placed for VinFast’s VF 8 and VF 9 electric cars.

Immediately after the US market, VinFast will export its next batch of VF 8 cars to the Canadian and European markets in order to promptly hand over the vehicles to customers in 2023.

Nguyen Viet Quang, vice chairman and CEO of Vingroup, underscored the importance of the event in the Vietnamese automobile industry, affirming that the country has successfully mastered and produced high-tech products which are capable of competing in the international market.

He went on to express his hope that the event will contribute to elevating the image of a new, dynamic, and developed Vietnam to international friends.
