Italy has always attached great importance to Italian - Vietnamese bilateral strategic cooperation and Italian - ASEAN multilateral relations, in which Vietnam acts as a strategic gateway of Italian enterprises in Southeast Asia.

Accordingly, there are a multitude of projects to promote trade as well as to increase the investment flow of Italy into Vietnam in the coming time, playing the role as stepping stones for Italian enterprises in enhancing their presence in the potential ASEAN market. The Italian and Vietnamese economies have many similarities so he firmly believes that the factors will create favorable condition for Italian businesses.

CEO of The European House Ambrosetti, Valerio De Molli said that the "High level dialogue Italy - ASEAN" was one of seven international summits between Italy and the regions: ASEAN, South Africa, China, Iran, France and Europe.

"Through the results of previous years, we found that the summit is an important prerequisite for investors to approach the representatives from the host country, work with the lawmakers to understand legal framework structure and investment capital operation. They look for potential partners as well as strategic information aiming to make plans for large-scale investments and trade promotion projects”, he underscored.
