According to organisers, the competition took place from June 23 to 25 and brought together student teams from Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Macao, China, and Vietnam.

In the Planet Action category, teams programmed and operated robots in two-versus-two AI-assisted matches, testing coding ability, strategic thinking, teamwork and real-time decision-making.

Three teams from Chu Van An Secondary School - Cyber CVA Robotics, Imperial Bots CVA, and The CVA Prime Logic Collective - received First Prize honours and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Two other school teams, Entropy Zero CVA and Sovereign Robotics CVA, were awarded Second Prize, contributing to Vietnam's strong performance at the regional competition.

ROBOG Asia Cup evaluates not only robot design and construction but also participants' programming skills, robot control, tactical planning and team coordination. During each match, students must analyse rapidly changing situations, adjust algorithms and make decisions within seconds.

To qualify for the regional competition, the Vietnamese teams underwent a selection process and extensive training through domestic robotics competitions. Organisers said participating in the event allows students to gain practical experience, strengthen programming skills and build confidence in competitive environments.

The achievements of Chu Van An Secondary School's teams highlight the growing capabilities of Vietnamese students in STEM, robotics and AI, providing them with opportunities for hands-on learning and innovation. The competition also gave participants valuable experience in creative thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and adaptability - skills increasingly regarded as essential for the future workforce.
