The country’s total overseas investments reached US$279.63 million during the reviewed period which saw the finance and banking sector drew the greatest interest from Vietnamese investors, accounting for 37.8% of total investment capital with US$105.77 million.
The agro-forestry-fishery sector ranked second with US$63.84 million, followed by the processing and manufacturing industry with US$45.47 million.
So far in 2018, domestic businesses have invested in 32 countries and territories, with Laos topping the investment destinations on US$84 million, trailed by Australia (US$37.1 million), Slovakia (US$35.93 million) and Cambodia, Cuba and Myanmar.
