Young Vietnamese scientists meet in Seoul

Hundreds of scientists, university graduates, and Vietnamese and international students studying and living in the Republic of Korea attended a conference in Seoul on December 11 to share ideas and present new research results.

The conference, held by the Vietnamese Students Association in Korea (VYSK), received nearly 100 reports and selected seven reports for presentation spanning various fields, including physics, energy and materials science, life sciences and biomedicine, chemistry and chemical engineering, computer science – information and communications technology, civil engineering and structure.

Organisers received 24 submissions for VYSK awards and selected five outstanding young scientists for award presentation in the fields of biotechnology, information and communications technology, new material technology, medical technology, and environmental technology.

Addressing the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung emphasized that the Vietnamese students community in the RoK are growing strongly, making an important contribution to the development of Vietnam and the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the RoK.

He expressed his hope that there would be more and more exchanges in the future to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, especially in the fields of education, science and technology development.

After seven years of organization, the conference has become a rendezvous for young scientists, Vietnamese and foreign experts to exchange ideas, cooperate in research and apply sci-tech projects into practice.
