According to the organizing board, the auction will take place on July 9 via the Hanoi-based PI Auction House and the Drouot Digital platform in Paris.
In particular, the auction features an ancient lacquer screen in Vietnam, painted in the mid-twentieth century by Hoang Tich Chu. The screen has 6 panels, size 160 x 300cm (size 160 x 50cm each).
The two-sided screen is painted in the Indochinese style. The front side depicts the landscape of Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of Hanoi capital, with 12 small paintings surrounded by a sophisticated watermarked pattern background.
The back is decorated with small paintings depicting the seasons of the year and 2 golden couplets.
Besides, there will be also many other rare artifacts such as Thien Tai Dong Tu Statue of Vietnam, XVIII century; lacquer painting "Golden Fish" by painter Nguyen Huyen; oil painting "O Quan Chuong" by painter Bui Xuan Phai; Le Mac ceramic lamp base, 17th century, etc.
